Fun fact: This Halloween falls on a blue moon, which means the second full moon in one month. This is very rare.
Welcome to this week’s edition of Wesley Weekly! Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave a comment or reach out to us about attending Wesley this week, prayer requests, or anything else!
What you may have missed:
Last week we discussed different interpretations of where humanity is heading, including the end times. This was based on questions some students had after the meeting the week before when our discussion of American fundamentalism touched on eschatology, or the study of the end times.
Do you like playing Dungeons and Dragons? So do we, but there are a lot of misconceptions about this popular roleplay game in the mainstream, especially in certain pockets of the Christian community. This Thursday (October 29), we’ll be watching a movie called Dark Dungeons, which was made to warn Christian parents about the evils of letting their children play DnD. This should be funny and provide for a nice laid-back evening. If you would like to join us, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
Prayers and Concerns
Please keep in your prayers all college students who are encountering the effects of this pandemic, whether the virus itself or the struggles of staying safe.
If you have any prayer requests, please reach out to us. Big or small, we take all prayer requests seriously. With your permission, we’ll post them to Wesley Weekly next week.
A Fall Leaf
By Rebecca Gackler
A leaf falls slowly,
Whispering as it drifts down,
Onto the soft Earth.
