Wesley Weekly #20: LGBTQ+ Topics and the Bible

Welcome back to the Wesley Weekly! We’ve got a pretty interesting topic planned for this week, so we hope you’ll stick around!

What You May Have Missed…

Last week we talked about the positive changes to gender roles in the modern era, which was a welcome break from what we normally think of and what we had been talking about the week before. Can you think of positive changes to gender roles? Let us know in the comments!

The MSU Wesley Foundation has restructured our Patreon page and we would be grateful if you would check it out! If you would like to donate, please visit our Patreon!

This Week

This Thursday, we’re discussing how LGBTQ+ topics relate to the Bible! If you’re interested in joining us, send us a message to get the link to the Zoom call!

Prayers and Concerns

We continue to wish the best for our students as they navigate the online school “experience”.

If there is anything you would like the community to pray for, send us a message, or reach out to us on our social media pages.

Student Thoughts

Q: “Would you clone yourself?”

A: “Yep. I would make a clone for mutual self improvement. Immediately know your faults and flaws, especially on my Street Fighter II skills.”

A: “I would not make a clone. Too creepy. It would remind me of nightmares I had when I was little.”

A: “I think I would clone myself, always good to have a few copies laying around.”

A: “Depends on the cloning procedure. Maybe. It depends on how fast the clone would grow, because I am certainly not taking care of a baby.”

A: “I don’t think I would clone myself, it would just be too weird.”

A: “I don’t really know. I think that it’s a somewhat touchy subject because you get into things like clones being used for profit, which could be inhumane or dangerous. I also don’t think I could handle a clone of myself.”

A: “No”

If you have something you would like to write for us, or interesting questions you would like to ask us, send us a message on any of our social media or on our contacts page!

That’s all for this week’s edition of Wesley Weekly! Don’t forget to like and follow our Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter pages so you’ll never miss out!
