Welcome back to the Wesley Foundation at MSU!
MSU has had some incredibly difficult few weeks and we took time to recover and simply grieve together, and last week we decided to alter our programming for this semester, and changed our theme to be something a little less heavy.
So stick around and see where we’re going for the end of this semester!
What you may have missed…
The tragedy at MSU on February 13th has affected so many in our community. The process of healing from trauma such as this takes time and is often paid in installments.
The last two weeks we simply spent time talking and grieving together as we worked on processing the trauma and emotions that are associated with such events.
After which we decided to tackle a theme that is less emotionally fraught than the one previously and decided on looking at Religion in Media.

This Week

This week we will start our examinations of religion in media by discussing themes in the sit-com “The Good Place”, which follows the lives of 4 people after they die.
The entire show is a discussion on the subjects of ethics and moral philosophy, and what constitutes both a good life, and a good after-life.
The show’s balance of depth and approachability is incredible as it tackles some of the most difficult moral questions human beings face.
